Diary I
King Louis XIV needed money. French riot made the king in a financial crisis. Every citizens from every estates attended the meeting and I was able to attend because I had time left over after training the soldiers. The face of lower estates looked very frustrated because they did not have same privileges with the other higher states.
When I entered the hallway, the third estates; their eyes looked very angered and envied to the higher estates especially to the king Louis XIV. Higher estates such as me and the other nobles had many chances to talk about the taxes. However, the King did not give any chances or little of them to the lower estates. From my point of view, I thought this was not fair for all the citizens from the country.
I met my wife’s friend, Arnaud Petit, is a carpenter which he is placed in the third estate, wanted to equalize the taxes between the estates because the lower estates were in poor situation which they had to pay more taxes than the higher estates. He is in good shape and able to manage a little profit, however, almost 40% of the profit goes to the king and nobles. All the carpets he sell to the merchants and customers; the work he did to make those carpets go on to the high estates.
I am also a noble, however, I think there should be a change needed in the political systems and about the tax problem. If our country continues this way, than the lower estates will go on a monarchy and leading to failure in the society. The king needs to listen to the all of the citizens in order to make fair decision for the country.
Today, I was lucky that my voice was being heard at the meeting. I hope that my words become true and wait for the day when the feudal system will be gone forever in our country. Also, I hope the lower estates will obtain more chances to speak up in front of the government officials and to the higher estates.

Finally the day came. Our country France, is finally becoming a democratic country. For such a long time, France was ruled by kings and nobles by no restriction and it was unfair society for lower estates. This is what I always wanted. Jacobins was the hero who made the society fair for every estates. Every man is equal from now on under the law. The catholic churches have been taken over by them and Church officials and priests were to be elected.
The peasants and my wife was very surprised to hear that the church was taken. The catholics were in very deep trouble. Jacobins were taking the power to much far; he executed the king who we worshiped and took power of the church. Although he got rid of the feudal system, he was crossing the line.
My wife's friend Véronique (Veronica) Bonnet, is a christian and had trouble because the churches lost their power. Jacobins thought there were no such thing as religion that existed in the world. However, she liked the fact when Jacobins made the society fair for everyone (the lower estates), however, she thought Jacobins did what was best for them; not us (the citizens). Also, they made a conflict between Prussia and us which lead to war. The countries were getting short with food and that made hunger for the citizens in France and Prussia.
After the feudal system was gone, my wife did not have to work on the field for the lords and the nobles. She could have more time of her own and make more equipments to sell in the merchant market. Best of all, I am a noble which was in second estate and my wife was in third estate, however, after the feudal system was gone, I liked how my wife was treated equally and fairly with other citizens in the society.

So many things have changed since the Jacobins took care of the Feudal System. There were some bad and good things that were going in France. There was another monarch that took over the power who is called "Napoleon Bonaparte". He started his army with few artillery, however, he was famous for winning all the wars and battle around the continents. He expanded the French territory and was a great leader who also restored the power of the religion (church). The most important thing was that he abolished the tax system for the citizens in France. When they got rid of the taxation system, I did not really had to pay the taxes because I am a noble, but my wife had to pay the taxes so that made my wife spent money on other items that she could sell in the merchant shops.
My family was a christian and when the jacobins took over the power of the churches over France, we had lost our hope. However, thanks to our great leader Napoleon, he recovered the power of religion so we began to go to church again every Sunday. Everything was back to normal again except the society got much better.Leone Louis, who is a great friend of my wife, came to my house to celebrate the day when Christianity came back to our lives again.
The second estates and the first estates were considered as enemies when France became a secular state when many citizens declined to sign the oath to the government. The third estates have suffered because of feminine that occurred during the Jacobins and it took a long time to recover.
French Revolution has changed many people's life throughout the time. There were bad and good effects for the French People. I think that the Third Estate citizens' life have changed the most. The feudal system has gotten rid of so everyone was treated equally. The taxation problem has got solved. Two great leaders, "Napoleon, and Jacobins" have made many evolutionary changes to France. I think that is was a success although there has been some problems such as Massacre. I thank all the great leaders who took care of the country wisely.
